When exams are close, the priority is focus. Last-minute Maths support should not try to reteach the whole course. It should target the work most likely to improve confidence and marks in the time available.
Start with high-frequency topics
For GCSE students, this may include percentages, ratio, algebra basics, graphs, angles, probability and calculator methods. For older students, it may mean selecting the topics most likely to appear in their exam papers.
Practise exam-style questions
Close to the exam, students need to practise applying methods under realistic conditions. Worked examples are useful, but they should quickly lead into independent attempts.
Fix avoidable mark loss
Last-minute improvement often comes from showing working, checking units, using the calculator accurately and reading command words carefully.
Keep the plan calm
A short, realistic plan is better than an overwhelming timetable. Students need to know what to do today, tomorrow and before the next paper.
