I'm Sophie, a York-based, UK-qualified Maths teacher with 6+ years of teaching experience.

I started my Maths journey from the small island of Guernsey, UK. Growing up, I had the most influential Maths teacher, which led me to pursue a career teaching Maths.

I have taught in the UK and at Brighton College International School Bangkok, and now support online students across UK curriculum and international school pathways.

I pride myself on being a positive role model to students, removing the stigma attached to Maths and making it fun and accessible to all.

FAQs

Where should I start?

Start with a free Maths test paper. It gives you a clearer idea of your current grade, the topics that are costing marks, and what to revise next before deciding whether you need extra support.

Are the Maths papers free?

Yes. The free Maths test papers are designed to help students practise exam-style questions, get useful feedback, and make revision feel less random.

Are these official past papers?

They are original exam-style practice papers rather than official exam board past papers. They are written to feel useful for GCSE and IGCSE revision, with questions that help reveal topic gaps.

What happens after I take a paper?

You can use the result to decide what to revise next. The aim is to make the next step obvious: practise a topic, review worked examples, or ask for one-to-one help if you need more personal support.

Do you still offer online private Maths tutoring?

Yes. Sophie still offers online private Maths tutoring for students who need more tailored support. The papers are a good starting point because they show what help would be most useful.

Who are the papers for?

They are mainly for students revising GCSE or IGCSE Maths, especially anyone who wants a clearer sense of their current level before planning revision or asking for tutoring.

Can parents use the papers to understand where their child is?

Yes. A test paper can give parents a practical starting point for a conversation about revision, confidence, topic gaps and whether private tutoring would help.
