I live in York with my husband and a growing family of houseplants.
I’m married to an entrepreneur. Chris started his company GoHire in 2018 and has been my business’s biggest supporter.
When I’m not tutoring, you’ll find me with a coffee in hand, exploring new places or doodling.
Teaching style
My tutoring sessions include a combination of:
Assessing what students already know
Teaching new material, or recapping areas students are struggling with
Discussing the wider applications of the material to help with memory retention and exams
Exam-specific advice, such as commonly asked questions, or definitions that might come up
Exam practice
Regular feedback on how students are doing & what to work on, including homework
Rates
I would encourage weekly lessons for best results - but ultimately the length, timing and frequency are up to you.
Rates vary depending on the level (KS2,3,4 or 5) and the type of tutoring (one-to-one or group sessions).
